Each evening, beginning at 5:00 p.m., Pelletier's in Fish Creek, Wisconsin specializes in serving the most famous native dish to Door County: the Door County Fish Boil.

This feast is a tradition passed on from generation to generation, and is unique to our area.

The settlers of the last century came to this wilderness to seek their fortunes in the heavily timbered forests and bountiful waters of the Door peninsula. Out of their resourcefulness and spirit of cooperation, the Fish Boil evolved, and the fishermen and farmers provided sustenance for groups of hungry lumbermen and settlers.

Technology has found no way to improve upon the methods of a century ago. The Pelletier's Fish boil is celebrated in at its traditional best, as our technique has been preserved and passed down from Pelletier's Master Boiler/Owner Matthew Peterson's Grandfather, to his Father, and now to him.
